Was disastrous ….
tried to book hotel + flight for Christmas to Darwin using WOTIF Web
First attempt on Sunday 20/10 end up with payment not processed came back to booking page with message “
The total price of your trip changed due to a one-time non-refundable fee of AU$xx from the airline based on your payment method. ” . No information about the booking if it was processed or not ., no email …
contacted call centre to figure out about our booking status , waited for 20mn but no answer so eventually gave up.
Today 22/10 we tried again and same problem !!!! really annoying. We had to check our bank account to find that half of transaction went through and was rolled back

Had to wait two days for a response. And hotel did not receive payment until the next day. We were only there one night. I was lucky they were nice people who didn’t make me pay again.

I booked accommodation and wanted to apply the 8% discount code and thought it was going to be on the next screen I went to. It wasn’t and I ended paying the full listed price. I rang Customer service immediately and they were not able to help.

Terrible experience, I made a booking for a flight to Sydney and the ticket didn’t come through, however I checked and the money was taken out of my bank account. I spent TWO HOURS trying to talk to a real person – but instead went round in circles trying to deal with your automatic system. Tried to ring Qantas to check whether the booking had gone through but again struck their automated system. Tried Wotif again and got a voice message saying there was a wait list of ONE hour. As this was the only option I couldn’t go out as I was ringing on my landline, mobile don’t work here due to it being a black spot. Finally someone rang me and I discovered your email had gone into my junk mail. WHY?? This lady then guided me through the next steps and I was able to print out the ticket. All this took me THREE hours!

They can insert a review page on their website after the payment page. I received a voucher for a discount indicating that the code should be inserted at the checkout. I did not see any provision for this on that page and assumed it was on the next page. When I clicked through unaware that checkout was completed, the payment had already gone through with no provision for review. I immediately phoned the call centre but they were unable to assist as it was “non refundable” and said it was up to the property. They rang the property but advised that it was not answering although it was only late afternoon on a weekday and in the same time zone as myself. They then advised that I would hear from their back team shortly but to date, I have heard nothing and the full price without the discount had been processed. Advertising a discount in the way is misleading.

I have been charged by Wotif and the hotel says it hasn’t received to money so has insisted on charging me a 2nd time.

I booked and paid for a spa room only to get to the hotel to find that wotif didn’t send the correct details through to the hotel.
I get one night to myself every 4 months and this simply ruined my night.

Very poor connection between booking and hotel.Specific request for room not forwarded ( my wife has cancer specific needs)and generally acting attentive but really j just a clearing house.LIFT YOUR GAME
