Be honest and up front about the fees. I have only ever been charged the quoted price but when I looked at my bank statement I had been charged more. I tried to find a phone number for Wotif but couldn’t and then I emailed Wotif x 2, no reply – poor service. I eventually got on to Budget Motels/Hotels and was told by an employee that the extra was charge by my bank – I told him the my bank did not charge extra and he argued that it did. I went to my bank and was reassured it was a “commission” charged by Wotif. Why did this happen as I had never had this problem previously? I will NOT be booking with Wotif/Expedia ever again because of dishonesty with the charges and giving me false information at my bank’s charges. I will also be telling all my friends and acquaintances about my experience which will be very bad publicity.
