I got charged a transaction fee for a booking that did not get made. Kept coming up with a problem with payment and I ended up making my booking on a different site. Edreams was much better to use.
February 3, 2019I am still waiting for a reply to my main complaint about being double charged at the point of booking. I need a refund of $120 from this, BUT ALSO
on arrival at the hotel I was charged a further $200 which had to be paid in cash because I had a Visa Debit card. I was not permitted to put this on my card, and also I was promised it would be paid back into my card this morning. It has not appeared! I am not recommending Wotif’s services any time soon
Update available properties and don’t process payment until accommodation provider has confirmed booking and room availability.
February 2, 2019You booked the wrong dates, sent us a texted website address that we could not access. Left us no avenue to contact you in time therefore we were forced to book elsewhere and you would not give us a refund, even though the mistake was yours.Unhappy giving you a 1 star, experience worse than zero. Yes please investigate and refund our money
February 2, 2019The website did not allow me to book anything. The customer service over the phone was horrible as they tried to make me pay another $200 more than the websites advertised price.
They told me that the website price list wasn’t updated and that I had to pay more than the advertised price.
I cancelled the booking because you put a hold on 2 of my credit cards 3 times. I phoned and requested that 2 be removed. After much time and explanation call centre sent email to bank to release the pending amounts.
I have now found that I the pending amount on 1 credit card has been charged to me and I am now told that I will get a refund in 15 days.
Simply bad practices!
Look I admit I stuffed up first, by selecting the wrong month. OK so then we made changes same dates, same hotel next month. but it was much more expensive and I was told it was because of school holidays – instead of $6000 I now had to pay $8000 OK it was my fault. I accept that I accidentally selected the wrong month. No problem. But then I needed to book the flights separately the next day and when I did it offered me the option of taking a hotel room as part of the booking. So I checked what the same rooms would cost me and it worked out at $8000 including the flights. I called to see if I could now get this – exact same room – same dates same flights, exactly the same and was told no that’s not possible to change at all under any circumstances. The hotel says its Expedia, Expedia says its the hotel. So now I’m paying $8000 for the room and $3000 for the flights instead of the package of $8000 for both. I’m now wasting $3000 for no reason. You have forced me into this situation and there is nothing I can do about it. OK, no problem. You’ve gained $3000 but lost a repeat customer and a referral permanently.
January 31, 2019I was told they had issues with their online payments system, that they had contacted wotif and there was no resolutions made, the reception was unaware of my arrival, they were not prepared, put me in a room that wasn’t ready, told to pay again and claim my money from wotif !!!
