ur app automatically books a month in advance on the same day ur trying to book. surely u guys see this in ur analytics from people consistently cancelling bookings?

This is the first time using Wotif to book accomodation for an overseas trip and it has been a challenge. After providing my CC details for the booking, I received an email from the hotel advising that I need to pay them directly and in US dollars. The purpose of using websites such as Wotif to make bookings is the payment security, I now feel very exposed making a large payment to an overseas bank account with no real buyer protection.

Website glitches and sold me accommodation for a month past the desired date and was marketed as the “last one” no refund given, very unhappy.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with an online booking platform, To start we called Wotif after we realized they accepted a booking for a hotel you couldn’t check into after 5:00pm, The gentleman we spoke to during this call was rude and told us not to bother calling back and to take up with the accommodation the following day. We asked if he could help us find somewhere to stay on the gold coast he told us he couldn’t help we just had to find something ourselves.

We found ourselves stranded on the gold coast. We contact Spindrift Nobbys Beach on the following morning as instructed by Wotif only to find out that Wotif should not have been advertising bookings for this site and they were fully booked out with nothing available. The manager at Spindrift advised that Wotif had been removed from their list of companies able to advertise rooms for them. The manager at Spindrift was helpful and friendly and just as frustrated as we were. So again for the second day in a row we had no were to stay, We returned home after this.

I again contacted Wofit and spoke to the first operator who told me they would call the accommodation and asked me to hold the line. 20 minutes later another operator picked up the call whom didn’t seem to know anything about my call or why I was calling so I explain the story again to again get placed on hold for a further 20 minutes this time the call was hung up by the operator. I called back again by this time very frustrated I spoke to yet another operator who gave me a phone number and told me to contact them as they couldn’t help me. I ended the call and tried to number provided to me which wasn’t a real number., I called back again and got another operator Ann whom we explained the story to again, Again placed on hold this time for 30 minutes before she came back and asked me to confirm my phone number and then placed me on hold again. Again another operator picked up the call this time a male again had to explain the story, All we wanted was our money refunded as clearly this accommodation should not have been sold to us and we had paid almost $1500 for 3 nights…. WE again got placed on hold and this gentleman told us he would contact the hotel and come back to us. About 15 minutes later he came back and said he had spoken to the hotel and would give us a full refund of our money…I also lodged a complaint with my bank to put this payment on hold. We know at this time as it was 2:15 pm Spindrift was already closed for the day and he didn’t speak to anyone. This operator told us he would send an email confirmation of the refund, still waiting.

I don’t understand why the first operator could not have done this, this was poorly handled and has turned me off using Wotif I’ll also tell any of my friends family and work friends to stay clear of this company.

Zero flexibility for check in, room service wasn’t done the next day and the reason given that we are fully booked, short staff.

Room service lady arrived at 4.23pm with no flexibility given that we were getting ready to go to an event.

Access card wasn’t working in the lift.

Very poor service.

Very disappointed with the way to get in contact with your company spent 6.5hrs just trying to get Australian phone number that works Your 1800 numbers DO NOT
I tried numerous times through your virtual agent which was hopeless COULD NOT GIVE ME ITINERY and ETICKET emails so we could print them out
More than 1 contact agent was needed to get this issue resolved Many thanks to Mohit
I will say he was very helpful but we were nearly out of our minds by that time
I appreciate your pricing for my flight but it was not worth the lower price for the trama caused to 2 aged pensioners

I would suggest what if I immediately remove that premises as a destination. The roads to get there are dangerous and then when we got there no one would let us in so we had to go and find alternative accommodation at 2:30 in the morning . I would’ve thought a premises like that would’ve got all what if – please contact me if you’d like to talk about it I’m also hoping that I haven’t been charged for that accommodation

Horrible. During night time around 10:30 sunday i booked a room in toongabie hotel and paid 89$. As i got to the hotel, the hotel was closed and no staff there and no one answered the phone, so i had to drive back 2hrs to where i came from. Next day i call the hotel and they inform me that the hotel closes at 10pm and there was no site or any place that says on the wotif booking page that the hotel closes at 10pm. The hotel staff informs me that i should call wotif to confirm that i didnt stay in the hotel and then wotif calls the hotel and the hotels confirms my story but when i call wotif customer service its either unavailable or nobody answers the phone. And the automated agent or whatever it is would stay 15-30 minutes connecting me to an agent and an agent doesnt show up to speak to me. So i lost 89$ and spent 4hrs on the road which is petrol also spent foe nothing. Its been 3 days since this happened and nobody has yet called me or did anything. Last time i ever book with wotif.
