we paid twice for our one night stay. Charged when we booked and charged again when we arrived… Without us realising. Maryborough motel and conference centre say it is ‘wotif’s fault. We would appreciate your help in getting our money back off them please

Very bad, I dnt know whose fault , money has been taken two times from my account. One is by wotif and another same amount by hotel that I booked from wotif.

Booked my car rental through wotif. I didn’t get an option to choose what time to start car rental from, and was given a default time of 10:30 AM even though I was going to land at 6:30 PM. I did look for an option to change but couldn’t find any.
Turn up at airport and am told that booking was for AM and they couldn’t hold it for they long.
So had to make a new spot booking at the time.
I guess lesson learnt to book from alternative sources.
You have used an airbnb style accommodation service.
I was expecting only hotel style accommodation on Wotif.
Payment in full was non-refundable, then a hefty extra $1,000 bond – not prominently advertised until payment had been made in full.
The first ‘Ready Set Host’ site link provided by the host was non-secure and requested credit card details and passport, drivers licence.
After credit card details supplied for the bond, the site then requested full banking details.
Receipt offered by the host is not a GST receipt and is NOT LEGAL for Australian use.
The complete ‘Ready Set Host’ site appears to be a scam.
This listing is not worthy of being on a Wotif site.

The recent booking was advertised as no payment required until arrival. Despite this the hotel manager tried to take 30% deposit the next day. He called me because my card rejected the payment. This is terrible false advertising. That manager was not authorised to take that money and you were not authorised to falsely advertise.
May 30, 2019Wouldn’t use or recommend Wotif ever again, I will always book direct with a hotel, there staff are rude and very unhelpful.

I booked a room for my colleague for a work trip as it said there was no cancellation fee. She informed me the day before that she unexpectedly had to cancel. When I cancelled her room, I have still been charged a cancellation fee. I am not happy with this at all.

I asked for help and they were supposed to talk to hotel and ring me back within 48 hrs. So far…..nothing! In fact they don’t even deserve one star.
I booked online and the site reverted to a date I didn’t want, I rang straight away to fix it and have had nothing but apathy from Ibis Olympic Park and Wotif.
