No problems were solved. Rep was nice but we didn’t get anywhere. Won’t use wotif again as the website makes mistakes and is unreliable for travel booking

I have had a lot of good experiences with wotif in the past but this time there was such a big difference between the images shown on your site and the room I got when I arrived. It was so disappointing I didn’t even stay at the property. The misrepresentation makes me weary about doing this again. I feel if I booked directly with the property I may have had a chance of getting my money back but as it was I lost my money as it was a non refundable booking. The rooms on your site for Peppers in Hepburn Springs Victoria are lush and roomy with arm chairs, large bathrooms, decorative throws and look amazing. I was so excited and when I got there I got the tiniest room, very basic white linen, no throws or cushions, no arm chair, no bath and the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. I was so disappointed. Spoke to front desk about getting my money back and she couldn’t do nothing as it wasn’t booked through them. Not in a rush to use wotif again.

I booked 7 days at South Terrace Motel in Adelaide. 3.5 star rating guaranteed by Motif. This place deserves less than a 1 star rating. Their attitude to guests is that ‘you have booked a discounted room so the facilities/amenities (including room cleaning and room service)shown on internet are not available to you!!!!!’ No where are people told they would be receiving less than what is advertised or guaranteed if they use the booking sights!
On arrival there is little indication that you have to go to the hotel next door to check in. The room smelt damp and musty and was dark and dingy. You needed to open the curtains to get in enough light to see. Everything was so old and battered, missing handles from furniture, dirty stained, smell carpets, no handle to turn hot water on in shower, no hot water, the TV had sound but no picture, the beds had sheets but only a thin polyester blanket (unlike the picture in internet) bathroom had not had a good clean in a Loooong time. Lets not forget the cockroaches in the cupboards!!!!
The first night ww were woken up by fire alarms going off, followed by firemen banging on the door looking for the person who set it off, then later its the police banging on doors this is inter pursed with people arguing outside our door. With a 4am start for work the next morning the lack of hot water and no sleep did not indicate things were going to get better.
As we had been forced to pay in full in advance we had no option but to stay out our remaining six days.
Motif and all the other booking sights that have this place on their list should seriously do some checking up on just what they are putting their name/guarantee to.

Its a disgrace!!!!!!

Cannot get any refund if you cancel within 48 hrs of booking . A fraud plus wotif blamed the hotel first for the no refund of a $460 room for 6 ! It’s arong !!
