I am very annoyed to find that Wotif debited my credit card in advance of scheduled arrival date, and after I had cancelled the booking.

The date on your system jumped forward a day later than was originally asked for. Consequently without properly checking the dates on booking, we turned up to the hotel without the correct details, ie thought we were booked for Saturday night as asked for, whereas in fact the system had actually booked us for the Sunday night. Very annoying and inconvenient when this was discovered

It was terrible experience!!! The hotel didn’t leave the keys out to our room as they instructed then didn’t answer our calls when we were stranded out the front with all our luggage and nowhere to go.
After numerous calls someone finally answered. The hotel then sent a poor Nepalese man out an hour after our first phone call to let us in our room. We were then told the room had to be cleaned which took another two hours! The room was also dated and balcony was covered in bird poo!

Thank you for the request for feedback, Ive not had to provide negative feedback to Wotif previously, however unfortunately my last interaction, has me seriously reconsidering ever using the service again.

Firstly, the booking was made under the wrong date, despite me having checking it before pressing go on a non-refundable booking.

Secondly now that I’ve finally managed to get through to your call centre (who were lovely, but completely unable to assist) I rang the hotel directly and fixed up my booking.

Now in this feedback email it has completely new date as my booking date.

I’m confident the hotel has my booking corrected, however am surprised by the number of bugs currently in your online booking system.

I booked 6 days in advance. Within 1 hour of booking I was informed that the conference I was to attend was shifted by one day and I had to move my booking by a day. I was unable to do this via Wotif or the hotel and I could not find anyone who would take responsibility for it.

I have since had to make a new booking with an alternative site that allows more interaction with changing dates on hotel bookings.

This inability of being able to change the dates within such a long lead time to the actual stay date is actually in breach in commonwealth law where services can be cancelled within an appropriate time-frame.

As a CEO of a company i have no time to chase this and will instead just choose an alternative way of doing future bookings.

After booking through Wotif I realised that I could have gotten breakfast included for $1 per adult if I had of booked directly through the hotel website. I called Wotif to see whether they could match that and he said that he was not able to because the price was the same for the hotel accommodation.

No customer support email or online support. I had a small problem which needed fixing but I couldn’t and things got messy. The 1800 number is no good in my case. I doubt I will use Wotif again over my usual online booking service.
