Kurhaus Cademario Hotel & SPA: Luxury hotel with free WiFi and free parking. Located in the mountains.
Our lake view room looked out towards about 5 or 6 evergreen trees, which blocked about 90% of the... lake view. To compensate, we received a free glass of wine. I drove 4 hours to wake up to a view of a lake, and unfortunately didn't receive that. The rest of the hotel was nice. Dinner was outrageously priced. Two entrees and a couple sides came out to about $185 USD, but was on par with a restaurant one-third the price. Needless to say, never again.

Villa Sassa : Pet-friendly hotel with free WiFi and an indoor pool. Located near a train station.
We stayed for one night as a family of three and were very happy to receive a free upgrade to a larger room upon arrival. Lovely and helpful staff, nice pools and good breakfast buffet, would definitely recommend for a family stay in Lugano.
