Pegasus Reef - A Beach Resort in Colombo: Business-friendly resort with free WiFi and free valet parking. Located by the ocean.
Friendly courteous and pleasant staff. Morning breakfast is fabulous. If i had to pick a fault it would be that the hotel needs a good paint job and some of the toilet fittings need a upgrading. The sraff wirk really hard for their money specially the young man on level 3 room service. I thing he needs a raise.

Villa Hundira: Family-friendly hotel with free WiFi and free parking. Located near a metro station.
The property was a series of beautiful buildings centred around the owners main residence on Negombo Lagoon. The property was lovingly presented, the owners were very friendly and the staff were excellent. The food was just what we needed and we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return and would highly recommend.
An added bonus was being able to visit Thimble which was on site. It is a workshop where the women of the local fishing village are able to learn skills and produce hand crafted products. The goods they produced were top quality and a perfect souvenir of our time in Sri Lanka.

To be honest we stayed at a lot of hotels and I don't remember this late night check-in and early check-out. That I don't remember much means it was probably good without too much fuss
