We stayed for five nights in a Deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable with enough room for two large suitcases. The hotel is conveniently located between two shopping malls which makes it easy if you need something from the pharmacy or supermarket. We didn't dine in the restaurants but we did order room service, disappointed in the lack of late night snack options, also twice we ordered meals and the french fries were cold, another time I repeated the order back over the phone and the order was still wrong. Only criticism is the rooftop pool/bar area is seriously lacking in shade. There are four umbrellas for the pool lounges (not nearly enough) and no other shade is offered which makes it very hot if you're up there for a few hours enjoying the pool. The bar is open and has no shade, it started pouring down one afternoon we were in the pool and the bar staff had to very quickly pack up the bar as everything was getting wet. If it was undercover I'm sure guests would happily sit and enjoy a drink even if it was raining. There is no shade over the lounges/high tables which means it's not pleasant to sit up there and have a drink and a snack as you're sitting in full sun. The rooftop bar/pool area also lacks atmosphere and ambience, the music is quite loud and would not be to everyone's taste. Concierge staff were helpful, especially Jacob who organised a taxi to pick us up when we got stranded at Farlim Night Market after waiting 1.5hrs trying to get a cab back.

Beautiful hotel with great helpful staff. Room was clean and lovely. Got afternoon tea, Barnstaple coffee and some laundry for free because of long stay. Close to everything but not in most touristy areas so close to local and tourist areas, markets, restaurants, shopping malls, etc.

They were very helpful and easy to communicate with from Australia. The breakfast was good value and very tasty.

Wonderfully large rooms and bathrooms with all the comforts that you would expect in a hotel of this standard. Sumptuous breakfast buffet with every choice imaginable and excellent quality. Staff very helpful and well-informed as to where to find genuine peranakan cuisine at reasonable prices.

Really enjoyed our trip to Penang Park Royal hotel was really good staff friendly and helpful hotel well maintained and clean great place to stay great for children good amenities
