The room was lovely with great views from the balcony. The shower was not in the best of conditions, but it worked which was the main thing. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic. The one downside were the pillows - they were genuinely the most uncomfortable things any of us had ever put our heads ...

good value for money
The quality of the service made up for the rather eccentric room design: no bathroom storage space and a toilet door which didn’t fit it’s frame. The location was good and was perfect for a relaxing few days is the great town of Swakopmund.

We arrived at Burning Shore for our prebooked - prepaid accomodation over Xmas holidays - only to find it closed and without any notice on the door. When we phoned we were told the hotel was closed for renovations- and that they had not received our booking or payment ( clearly confirmed in hotels.com) ...
