Mount Aspiring National Park is the New Zealand you have always imagined. As the third-largest national park in the country, it’s packed with the dramatic scenery that makes this far-flung island famous. No wonder this outdoor playground in the Southern Alps is part of a World Heritage area. The legendary Routeburn Track cuts right through it and LOTR movie fans will recognise this setting as Isengard from Middle-earth.
