Coles Bay

Never heard of Coles Bay? Think seafood cafés, lapping waters and views of pink granite mountains and you’ll soon get the picture.

Coles Bay may be mostly known as the gateway to the wonderful realm of Freycinet National Park, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing to keep you in the town itself. Try the abundant seafood straight from Great Oyster Bay by going fishing or take a tour of the Freycinet Marine Farm and stay for lunch. Or, if you’d rather chomp on a burger or steak, visit one of the town’s cafés and pair your feast with a local wine.
