Communication with the company was great, and the cabin definitely had that cozy, rustic feel we were hoping for. That said, the property could use some updates - especially the kitchen appliances, which felt quite dated. The TV in the downstairs room wasn’t mounted yet (it looked like a recent addition, so maybe that’s in progress). The screen door kept coming off the track, which made it tricky when going out to the deck, and the AC thermostat was an older model that took a little trial and error to adjust.Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we really appreciated the easy communication and peaceful setting.

Cute and comfortable. If you are looking for privacy and peace and quiet, this fits the bill. Not so much if you are looking for the view. Heavily wooded and only one spot for a long range view from the deck. Furnished nicely and the main level bed so comfortable you want to stay in bed late every day!

Cabin getaway

The cabin was very nice. Everthing was just as advertised. Weather was very nice, especially since we had 100+ heat index at home. We brought a stand up fan and we were very comfortable. Cabin was clean and well stocked. The only recommendation would be to bring a large skillet.

Looking forward to an amazing trip to the Scottish Games in North Carolina. We enjoyed the area. It’s beautiful! We rented a cabin in Zionville, NC. Pictures of the cabin were great! However, when we arrived several things were amiss. The hot tub was filthy! The cabin was not clean! Smell was moldy! Plumbing problems! Just sad that we paid a lot of money for 3 day get away and did not enjoy where we were staying!

Beautiful view

We had an awesome time while staying at Traders Gap. Wendy the property manager is excellent. The place is isolated enough, but at the same time is close to all major attractions in Boone. The cabin needs a little TLC, but has breathtaking views and is very cozy. Overall it was a good experience.
