Falcons Nest (Upstairs)

The first bedroom has a queen bed with a private full-size bathroom. The second bedroom has a king bed with a private bath (shower, no tub). The third bedroom has a queen and twin size bed. There is a spacious living room with a sofa bed, TV/Satellite, Satellite internet (free but is not fast enough for reliable video streaming and video calling) and gas fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen stocked with dishware, cookware, and silverware provided.

This property has one parking spot over winter and 2 parking spots over summer.



We provide you with dishware, cookware, silverware, blankets, pillows, linens and towels. Condiments provided are: hot chocolate, Folgers coffee and filters, sugar packets, cream packets, Lipton tea, and salt & pepper. We also provide dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and free firewood for our Yosemite West properties. All our properties come equipped with propane BBQ's, and we provide the propane.

Very Enjoyable Weekend

My family and I were very pleased with our stay at Falcon's nest. A nice cabin feel gave the house a great energy. Location was about as good as you will find.

Great property, too bad the park was so smoky!

The kitchen was well equipped, although it has exactly as listed, in terms of salt, pepper, sugar and creamer packets. Sometimes there are other spices etc left from previous renters, but not in this case, so be prepared to bring everything you need! Worked well for a family reunion of sorts, as one brother rented the lower unit, and the other a property 3 doors up the street. The deck was very nice, and covered parking with direct access was good. We would stay again!

Good stay

Check in process could have been more timely. Didn't receive any information until 4pm which is the check in time. This is a problem if you get to Yosemite earlier in the day as the signal and LTE is limited in many parts of the valley. Additionally, it seems like there is a bees nest in the garbage bin outside. Otherwise, a great stay with good amenities for cooking and cleaning. Very serene and largely accurate to the listing description. I'd stay again.

Homey and only a short distance from Yosemite

Our family of 4 adults and 1 toddler really enjoyed our stay at the Falcon Nest Upstairs this weekend. The 3 bedrooms were all spacious and have their individual bathrooms. The lounge room is well equipped and has a beautiful view of snow covered trees dotted throughout the mountain. The rooms were all well heated, and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

Loved the location, did not love the experience

We loved the location near Yosemite. The house was unusual in many respects. We rented the upper portion of the home. We found it very strange that you had to leave the main portion of the upper house to enter into another bedroom via a keycode. The apartment itself was clean. As this house is located in an area with 0 restaurants located nearby we were prepared to cook all of our meals there. However, the refrigerator kept freezing all of the fruits/veggies/anything in the fridge even on the warmest setting. The plates were half plastic/half chipped ceramic. The spatulas and large spoons were so cheap that they snapped in half upon use. The can opener cut my sons hand because it was so cheaply made. The owner needs to invest a tiny amount into the kitchen portion of the apartment as there is literally no options for going out to eat. The owner also needs to have more cleaning options as they leave a book asking for the house to be left clean (which we did) however, they had no cleaning supplies other than a small amount of dish soap. At the very least we needed something to clean the kitchen counters/vacuum the floor. The living space of the apartment only included a loveseat/a recliner (seating a total of 3 people) and dining chairs. A larger couch/seating area is necessary if you are going to list the apartment at having up to 8 occupants. The first four nights we had two different families staying beneath us in the lower falcon. We met both families who were quiet and very nice neighbors. They shared the parking/driveway and were overall very easy to share the home. On the last evening a large group of people checked into the lower Falcon. They played very loud music (all night) were fighting and causing disruptions. When we went to leave the next morning they were blocking the driveway and there was trash everywhere. It was a disappointing end to our vacation.

Spacious and Professionally Run, Great Location

We stayed with our family last weekend while visiting Yosemite - and it worked well as a shared space with multiple adults who also wanted some privacy. 2 Bedrooms attached to the living room were both nicely laid out, clean and had individual bathrooms. 3rd Bedroom was surprisingly accessed from a shared hallway, but worked okay because it had a key-pad lock and its own bathroom. The house was professionally run, with good guide information, clear instructions, and everything working. Short drive to the valley, and really close to the road to Glacier Point view. Really convenient to the sights. Would have liked the porch furniture to be there, which is in the pictures but was not available when we visited.

Awesome , my kids had a blast, Yosemite was distance away. Very clean and organized. Do it again.

Top notch, my family was happy after walking Yosemite and arriving to our nest location to relax. Next year for sure we will do it again.
