Power Failure

A power outage caused our trip to be cancelled. This was not communicated to us until after our expected check in time, after chasing down the host for the door code. Then there was back and forth over whether the stay should be cancelled or not. All in all a very frustrating experience. I understand the power issue was out of their control, but a more proactive host could have had our issue settled earlier so I was not scrambling for last minute accomodations.
