Cleanliness was tops. Distance to Heathrow and ease of shuttle to the airport were great, but we expected it to be free. When we called to book, and ask about a shuttle, we found out it was available, but no one mentioned a per person fee....we had spent all our pounds so we wouldn't take any home to the states, and the driver didn't have change for a 20pound note, so we had to use a debit card. Really nice hotel, with supportive staff. I was very surprised with the fact that dinner included a three course meal. The dinner bed and breakfast was a very good value option Definitely better value than alternatives, such as the local Premier Inn, for those travelling through Yeovil

I'm not sure the property has been decorated in the last 30 years and the rooms are tired and in desperate need of investment. The restaurant and bar were also tired, damaged furniture, etc but the food, drink and staff were fine.

Recent stay August14th

Check in quick and easy, hotel centrally placed with parking which is a bonus in Yeovil. Unfortunately the rooms really need an update very tired looking, wallpaper coming off the wall in one corner, bedside lampshades were stained and some black mould on the shower wall around the bath. Bed was comfortable and clean. We could here the guests next door coughing and the room doors would slam shut if you didn`t hold them as closing them which was annoying late at night and very early in the morning.The food was really good so no issues there, restaurant and bar area nicely decorated and clean decent outdoor area staff friendly and efficient but overall a little disappointed with room.

Green King answer the phone with a bloody annoying AI bot, then dont answer when you finally get through!!! Very poor CC , wont be booking again, Hotels.com dont take payment, make you pay on arrival, massive pain in the arse.

It was fine for 1 night .. our twin room was in the stables and had very small size singles .. we’re quite small so we’re ok for us.. but not full width single beds. Bathroom washbasin was cracked in 2 places, very old furniture in general it’s desperately in need of refurbishment. Linens were clean & mattresses comfortable & all amenities in the room like tea coffee hairdryer etc were good. Quiet at night & close to the centre of town. Best thing about the hotel was the friendly helpful staff who are clearly an asset .. would be lovely if they spent some money bringing the rooms up to standard

I stayed for one night, for convenience as the party I was going to was in the hotel. It all went very well, but it was so hot and there was no air conditioning other than a fan in the room. That is my only complaint though it was quiet, clean and breakfast was good and had great service
