Great location, so 4 instead of 3 stars based on service. Annex in another house nearby. Room is OK. Nice bed. Breakfast buffet is included. Parking is discounted from 50 to 20 euro a day at a nearby parking lot. At check in I got received as if being an nuisance instead of a guest. I got ignored and when I rang the service bell, a Dutch lady almost cursed at me and walked off. Not the welcome you expect from a hotel like this. Hence barely any stars. The people at breakfast were much more welcoming.

The photos of this location are very nice but if you don’t score a room in the main building, it’s a lot less nice: hot in the summer, stairs up with your luggage so the price in the summer is too high for the kind of accommodation.Restaurant good in great location but wine selection too limited.

Totally overpriced B&B

We stayed for one night. It was fine but nothing to write home about. Totally overpriced, we won't go again. Our suite was not even in the hotel, it was a few houses further. Cars and people are passing in front of the bedroom which make it very noisy. No minibar available. It is a kind of totally overpriced B&B. Breakfast is fine.

Auberge De Campveerse Toren, Veere, Netherlands

This is a magnificent old fort converted in 1400 into an historic inn. It is surrounded on 3 sides by a lake with wonderful views, and is only a stroll away from the centre of the picturesque old town of Veere. The standard of furnishing and cleanliness are excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The room was small but the rates were very reasonable and the buffet breakfast(included)was beautifully presented. The standard of dinner, served in the sumptuous dining room overlooking the lake, was high, but it should be noted that so were the food and wine prices, so the cost of an overnight stay was rather higher than expected. I would certainly recommend this hotel as a delightful and unusual place to visit.

Magical place!

What a wonderful hotel! The most magical location and a stunning hotel. Our dual aspect room was a delight with superb views over the marina and Meere at one side, and the pretty square at the other. Everywhere was the beautiful architecture of medieval Veere - at times it was like being in a Vermeer painting. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, everywhere was spotlessly clean. The dining room, situated in the tower, was beautiful, with original paintings of local views (many by JD Koets) on the walls. The food was excellent. We took our own cycles and were offered secure, undercover "parking" in the lovely walled garden. Everything about this trip was magical - from the hotel itself, to the tiny town (we were lucky enough to see it on one of the Dutch market days), the marina full of yachts, the boats on the Meere, the canal and its huge lock, the ramparts, the windmill, and even the wonderful rope ferries. Our four days was definitely too short, but hopefully we will be back one day for a second Veere experience.

Auberge de campveerse toren

This is an excellent hotel. Parking is off site but free and a 5 min walk. Restaurant excellent but expensive. The village and harbour are beautiful and very touristy. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Schitterende locatie aan het Veerse meer, heel rustig en leuke winkels en restaurantjes in de buurt. Comfortabele kamers met mooi uitzicht op de haven en het meer. Ontbijt en diner heel erg goed verzorgd door het heel gastvrije personeel. Vanuit Veere ook snel aan de kust en gezellige stadjes (Middelburg, Domburg...). Echt een aanrader!

Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre leider schon lange hinter sich. Das Badezimmer war zwar alt, aber immerhin sauber. Allerdings war die Lampe über dem Bett voller Staub, und die Wände sind sehr hellhörig, sodass man viel von den Nachbarzimmern mitbekommt. Das Frühstück war für ein so teures Hotel enttäuschend: Der Kaffee war manchmal kalt, da die Maschine nicht zuverlässig funktionierte, und das Rührei kam eindeutig aus der Packung. Insgesamt wird das Haus dem hohen Preis nicht gerecht – einzig die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend.
