We have stayed at quite a few motels during our Canadian/US roadtrip and this motel is right up there as one of our favourites. The rooms were clean and tidy, after a long days drive we were happy to order a freshly made pizza with some cool drinks and sit on the patio and enjoy the view over the river. A really special little gem.

The view was great from the room but not exactly necessary as we checked in late and left early. The room smelled like it had been a converted smokers room and there was hair on the drain of the shower which made us skeptical that the room had ever been cleaned.

Celilo is a great place to stay in the Dalles and explore the gorge area, and an incredible value at an affordable price. I stayed for a whole week. The room was cozy, warm, and tidy, with an impressive view through the window. I really loved the convenience of their little continental breakfast.

This is a great property. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that it was not very clean. The sheets had stains on them. The toilet seat would not stay up because the toilet was not installed correctly.
