Alarms? And traffic noise

I was very impressed with this hotel on my arrival. Everything was fine until 4:00 am when I was awakened by a very loud alarm type of buzzing. I walked around my room looking for a possible cause. I considered calling the front desk but decided they probably didn’t have any maintenance available at that time. After about five minutes the buzzing stopped but I couldn’t get back to sleep because I could hear all the I81 traffic, especially the truck traffic. And then the garbage truck came by with its backup beeping and banging as it emptied the bins. I have stayed in many motels and they must have some way of muffling the traffic noise because I have never had this problem before - and I was on the sixth floor here. So - I will not be staying at this La Quinta again.

We mistakenly left a watch in the room after we checked out, and the front-desk person let us go back to check the room about an hour later. Fortunately, the watch was found!

Was not too happy because we had a room for my riding partner and I went upstairs 20 minutes later someone else opened up our door we were startled of course we were both carrying weapons and it could’ve been a very ugly situation where someone could’ve gotten hurt not too happy about that. We didn’t feel too safe after that that anybody could just walk into our room because it was given to another person

Did not like the luggage carts. Bathroom shower not good for older adults..no grab bars. Also no place to put your personal items except the shower floor...unsafe. If staying for longer than overnight, there is no where to put clothes other than a hanger. Like most hotels, lighting is bathrooms is terrible for putting on makeup.

Veey clean and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked here due to moving my daughter into her dorm at Shenandoah University, hotel is in walking distance to campus. Will definitely book again when in town.
