There was an awful smell of cigarettes I believe. The toilet made the LOUDEST sound every time it flushed. The tent on the windows was torn and unattractive. No updated USB-C outlets.

Paying for a 5 star getting a 3 star instead

Could not ask for a better location. We had a 4 day getaway and staying on the water in downtown Wilmington was just perfect. The hotel is great but we noticed a lack of detail to cleaning. The hallways our floor had not been vacuumed the entirety of our stay. One day our clean towels were just all stacked on the back of the toilet. Also the pool is not heated so don’t plan on swimming in the fall.

We loved the main common areas in this hotel and the perfect/scenic location on the river. Lots of food options in the hotel as well as a ton of food/drink options in walking distance. Parking was super easy. I deducted one star because we felt that the rooms, especially the bathrooms are dated. Our room was extremely humid/muggy and so was the hallway, giving a slight musty smell. We had to have the air turned down a lot to combat that. But, we would definitely return!

I had a lovely room w 2 double beds and a magnificent waterview..Rm 411. The staff did everything possible to accommodate whatever requests i made. You do have to request to have your room made up. I was able to walk everywhere . I did not eat at the Ballast nor did I have a car so I cant speak about those amenities.

It was…okay

The room was decent, but it was a bit dirty. There was hair in my bed and in the bathroom. Everything just looked old and dingy. No microwave or fridge in the room. About the only thing this hotel has got going for it is that it’s near the waterfront and downtown. They should do a better job of enhancing their space, since they’re in such a prime location.

Disappointed; not worth the price

Sadly, we were disappointed with this hotel. It is pricey. The location is great and the view of the river is nice. But our room was very dirty. The hotel and room looked a bit shabby. Not worth the price.

Definitely wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The floor we stayed on smelled of mildew and the bathroom was dirty. The ladies checking us in were very nice and accommodating throughout our stay. It was a great area to stay, close to everything I was there for.
