When we arrived, there was only one receptionist at the desk. Receptionist's manager was out sick. Huge line waiting to check in. Once we made it to the desk, room was not ready. Had to wait for it to be supposedly cleaned. After checking in, went to room. Room was smelly, carpet dirty, toilet not cleaned, bugs on shower wall, a plastic bag was covering the smoke detector in the room. Was not happy with it at all.. After going to receptionist again, he stated he understood and informed us to get a hold of epedia and have them contact them for a full refund. We did not stay there.

I believe all room photos are from in the actual hotel and not the rooms next to the pool. Our room was not nice and bright, bathroom was small, industrial looking and beyond dark when you pulled curtain shut (not to mention ceilings are gross). Trash was not removed from previous guests prior to our arrival, so unsure how well it was cleaned. Disappointing. Only positives were staff and breakfast. Wouldn't stay again.

Location of this historic hotel was excellent as it was near numerous inviting restaurants. Some physical aspects, as door that stuck, were understandable as hotel is clearly in the process of being refurbished. Hotel staff would benefit greatly from training in serving the public. Information provided at front desk was not consistent and at times offered as if it was an annoyance. Breakfast ticket system could be improved as staff repeatedly asked if we had a ticket. Slot machines in the lobby didn't seem to fit with the beautiful lobby!

It is a unique old hotel in the centre of town and you can walk to several restaurants and bars. There were several shops and if you go the first Friday of the month Streetfair type several bands.
