Travelled with family
5 Jan 2026
This was my first time staying at a Hampton Inn & Suites as we typically stay at Fairfield's. My family and I all thought this hotel was a definite step down compared to Fairfield.
First off, our 4 year old was crushed when we showed up and they said the pool was closed for maintenance (it was the 2nd Hampton Inn on our trip and both had the pool closed for maintenance, so a double challenge for our daughter). Luckily one of my sisters was staying at a Marriott once we got to NJ to visit family, where the pool was opened, so our daughter at least got a pool, just at neither of the hotels we stayed in route from Ohio to NJ.
We also were dissappointed with the Fitness Center. After Plan A to go to the hotel pool wasn't an option, we decided to go to the Fitness Center. The treadmill didn't work, and the Pelaton wasn't connected to the network so we couldn't use that either. We intentionally brought food with us so we could prioritize our time at the hotel for the pool/gym to let our kids let out some energy after the 4 hour drive, and instead, we had to go to the room (which meant they wanted more screen time).
As for the hotel itself, it was ok. The room was nice, and we liked they had a 2 queen and a pullout as that worked out really well for a family of 4.
Breakfast was decent.
Would we stay here again? Possibly, only because it's the only hotel option. But, we most likely would drive a bit further or shorter to try a better option in the future.
