This resort is in extreme need of updates. There’s is nothing to do but swim, only 2 pools, one is a child’s pool. Only 2 bars, the one in the lobby is rarely open. The staff at the buffet are rude. There was a woman bartender that I wish I had her name, she worked in the lobby bar Friday, she was outstanding. The food at the buffet was horrible. The water in Curacao was breath taking. I chose this resort because the comments were good, very misleading.

This resort was a disappointment. Many of the staff were not friendly. The food options for breakfast and the buffet were not good at all and we usually left the property to eat despite it being an all inclusive. The room was large in building 2 with good AC, but family members in another building had hot rooms. Nice beach, but cheap lawn chairs. I would stay somewhere else on a return trip.

The TV was not working and the service person could not solve it. And the smell coming from the sewer near to the dining area was very noticeable. I have been here before and this was the first time experiencing both issues.

Front desk people very nice. Food servers very nice. I feel bad for them because the cooks are so slow. It took an hour and a half to get our food and when we got it, it was raw. (Fried fish) we watched and if a table complained they would find their ticket and cook their food. Two tables came and ordered after us and we watched as they complained they found their ticket and cooked their food. At the buffet, you have to ask someone to cook your pasta and heat up the sauce. When I did that the cook literally rolled her eyes at me. I waited about 10 minutes to get ice cream and then I finally walked away. Not even sure what they were doing. There is air conditioning but it doesn’t really work. We put it down as much as we could ( 66 degrees) and it just never got cold. The first room we were in had a light outside the balcony that was hanging from the ceiling from an electrical cord and it faced the glass door. Our room did not have a blackout curtain so the first night it looked like the sun was coming up all night. We did get a room change and it had blackout curtains and a normal light outside. But the AC was the same. The BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL!! If they would get some training for the cooks on how to expidite I think a lot more people would be satisfied. The place needs a little TLC. It could be amazing if they put some work into it. And again the severs and front desk people very nice. We checked in at the sun club room. AC was great in there.

Its grounds are lovely and the beach great but it’s ageing and the rooms are tired. Staff are wonderful though and the menus in the restaurants are well prepared if limited.

Great overall, laundry service is terrible

Overall, the stay was good. The room had a couple small cosmetic issues, but nothing that really matters. It's almost impossible to get anyone to answer the Sun Club phone extension. Consierge will answer regularly, but if you're a Sun Club member, they refer you to Sun Club again. My only serious conplaint was about laundry service. There is a $100 USD deposit on laundry service and the balance is credited to you once the service is done. After I paid the deposit, the service wasn't picked up for over 24 hrs and the Sub Club phone calls went unanswered. I had to take my laundry to the Sun Club for them to take to laundry. ANOTHER 24 hours later, I had to go back to the Sun Club desks because the calls went unanswered again. Housekeeping wasn't answering for them, so I was told to wait longer. "Nothing more can be done". Laundry was returned after 10pm. My laundry credit wasn't mentioned at checkout, I had to ask about it. They took my email address and I was supposed to receive an email to issue my balance. Still waiting on the email 8 days later. The facility is great, the staff is great, the food is all pretty good. Definitely enroll for the Sun Club and definitely go to the spa. Stay away from laundry service.

The restaurants are open, no AC and a lot of flies Also, we made reservation for a romantic dinner to celebrate our 43rd anniversary, supposed to be at 6:30 pm by the beach to look at the sunset, etc. and when we got there we found out that they forgot about it..... there was nobody there so we wanted to cancel right there and then by they told us that they were going to put us at another location and everything was going ok until it was almost 9 pm when the dinner arrive and when we ask the person taking care of us that why did it take so long she just apologized and said that the restaurant didn't know about our dinner - of course we didn't even eat.. we were not hungry anymore and that was it, my husband was so angry and ask to talk to management and wanted the money back ....after a few visits to the concierge going back and forth they were telling us not to worry, that we will get our money back, but we still don't have the money yet.

This is a very nice property with great facilities. With some improved management it would be fantastic. Why have a smoking policy if you're not going to enforce it. People smoke wherever they want and throw their butts everywhere - very sad and pathetic. The lunch buffet is awful, they clearly don't know how to present a good buffet. Food is not prepared - a delicious pizza will show up and when its gone, no more pizza. Lines waiting for burgers. The beach bar/restaurant is closed with no announcement. They have a great set up for the beach party - put a portable bar out there and you'll have more participation. Take the cell phones away from employees, they all stand around on them and basically ignore you until they are done doing what they feel is more important. Bar tenders are hit or miss, some are really grumpy. A very, very nice stay - just not great. But it could be!

It was better two years again when we stayed there. The Coffee Shop machine was broken, water pipe broken, and no power. Dining options are limited, elevator was broken at one point in the high rise building. We had a ground floor room and the sliding glass door didn't lock. Alcohol is bottom shelf and the red wine is not good. Sunscape is not 4 stars it is a 2 star at best. The beach and pool are both nice, and the staff tries their best. The property has potential and was just bought by Hyatt which will be the 4th owner, and I hope they invest. It was a good stay but just lower your expatiations and enjoy it for what it is. It is not a Secrets or Sandals you get what you pay for.

Was very unhappy with my room it was supposed to be the honeymoon suite in the sun club I seen in pictures the room could have been updated with decor but it smelled like mildew and did have mold in bathroom and under air conditioner. Door to balcony was broken could not get it to lock I asked for a different room wasn’t much better. cleaning service and restocking of bar was not happening. Food was nothing to special was looking forward for some Caribbean food went to special dinner at a sun club only restaurant they put yellow mustard as salad dressing the best place To eat was the buffet the staff was nice very over worked it seemed most people don’t tip. I tip so I can understand why they aren’t to happy to service people. The beach and the water was beautiful I just wish they would update the rooms and get more staff

We waited a long time after the proposed check in time to get our room that was reserved months in advance and paid for in full. We finally got a room that still smelled of fresh paint and had lingering fumes in the heat. And the next day a pipe burst and flooded the hall between the bathroom and front door in the middle of the night forcing us to move to an inferior room( not what we paid for). My suitcase was directly below it thankfully not ruining the dress I laid out.(just getting it wet) We were attending a wedding at the Sunscape and before the end of the ceremony we were unable to use our now new room because the key card didn’t work and there was a note to see the front desk. We were informed that they finally had another ocean view room available but at this point we were too inconvenienced to move again. Overall experience wasn’t pleasant but we did enjoy the location of the resort.

They ran out of simple things daily. Supposed to be all inclusive they had one white wine and one red no variety whatsoever very cheap and you could buy a better wine, but that’s not what was told to us in the beginning.didnt even have Chardonnay !!! Seamed like food all came from one kitchen and you never knew when the restaurant was open or not. It was pretty but not as advertised, especially the all inclusive part. We were very disappointed !!,

My only reason to provide 4 out of 5 stars is the visitors who smoke in non-smoking areas and that is very annoying for me who can't stand the smell of cigarettes. I hope the staff can do a better job at preventing this from happening in the future. Despite that, everything else was great at the resort. Good food, nice beach, great pool and good entertainment at night!

Property is exquisitely located on the beach. Rooms clean bed comfortable. Amenities were nice. Property needs some updating. Staff were very genuinely friendly, helpful. This was our first time in Curaca. Thank you to staff who decorated our room for my fiancés birthday. Overall very memorable and pleasant experience
