I stayed in a courtyard view room. Upon entering the room and looking out the window, I realized that it is not a view of a beautiful courtyard with greenery, it is actually a view of the outside front entrance into the hotel. Meaning if you have the curtains open, anyone can clearly see inside of your room that is either visiting the hotel or the nearby restaurants or shops. There are no sheer curtains for privacy, just black out curtains. So there is little opportunity for sunlight inside the rooms without being fully exposed and on display.
The rooms are small and sterile, no real decorative elemets, didn't feel cozy. The bed felt cheap and uncomfortable, and made a loud sound every time you sat on it. The bathroom was nice, and the shower was large with a rain showerhead.
There are 4 floors to the hotel with the rooftop being on the 4th floor. The rooftop is a large size, with a very small pool. It's basically the size of a large hot tub. The pictures on the website make it seem larger. The furniture on the rooftop is a bit unkept and beat up. This seems to be a popular spot for locals to party, so there are nights where there is a dj and the music is blaring inside of the hotel rooms.
The hotel is supposedly near a beach, but you cannot walk to it, there is a lot of construction, you will have to take a taxi to a nearby beach about a 10 minute drive away. $40 taxi one way or use one of the 2 local drivers the hotel uses for $15 one way. Nearby shops and restaurants
