Trout Creek Retreat is a beautiful, luxurious home in a family neighborhood located in the Great Smoky Mountains. This property is located on the Oconaluftee River 1/4 of a mile up the subdivision mountain from Highway 19.

This cabin is entered through the living room which offers an open floor plan complete with kitchen, living room, and dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and cookware to use during your stay. Also in the kitchen is a large closet to store pantry items and where the washer and dryer is located. Three high top chairs are located at the bar area in the kitchen and the dining room has seating for four. The living room has a gas fireplace, 55" mounted TV, 2 swivel chairs, and a sofa lounger which lowers to offer additional sleeping accommodations for 2 guests. The 2 bedrooms are on opposites sides of the home which offer privacy.

At the end of the hallway on each side of the home is where the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are located. Each bedroom offers a queen bed, mounted 43" TV, and large closet space. Adjacent to each bedroom is a full bath.

Just outside the kitchen through the sliding glass door is the large covered porch overlooking the Oconaluftee River. There are rocking chairs and tables for you and your guests to enjoy the scenery as well as your morning coffee or a beverage in the evenings. Also on the porch is a gas grill along with a 4 person hot tub. Walking a short distance off the porch is a fire pit and Trex outdoor furniture for seating.

The home is located just 5 miles from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, 20 miles from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and 10 miles from Bryson City, home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Be sure to also check out the local shopping and dining in Bryson City, Waynesville, Sylva, Dillsboro, and Franklin.

-During the spring, summer, and fall the lawn service is generally on the weekends depending on weather. Host will try to provide timeframe.

Smokies Adventure

I stayed with my son and grandson for Grandude camp which involved hiking in the Smokies, rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and Cherokee area exploration. The cabin was ideally located and provided the perfect respite from our various activities. I highly recommend for lodging, rest, and relaxation in this special part of the world.

Last Minute Getaway

My husband & I decided to plan a last minute getaway to the mountains. The location of the cabin was perfect since we planned to visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park through both Bryson City & Cherokee. The property had everything we needed for a great stay. And the hot tub after a day of hiking was the perfect way to end the day!

This is a great cabin and one of the cleanest places we have ever rented. Communication with the owner was easy and she communicated promptly.The road to the cabin was a bit tenuous but manageable.All the amenities were as listed and complete. There was easy access to Bryson City, Cherokee, and other quaint mountain towns were with in easy driving distances.

Our stay at Trout Creek Retreat

This cozy home was super clean, well stocked, attractive, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the porch and view. The only negative was the narrow gravel road entering the development. However, everyone was respectful and willing to pull over or back up to let others pass.

Peaceful Getaway!

This was a much needed peaceful time away from our boys. The cabin was very clean when we entered and it was just what we needed. I used the hot tub every day and it was much needed. It was helpful to have an extra bathroom and bedroom. We were shocked by the narrow road we had to drive to get to the cabin, so glad my husband drove. He did say he got use to the drive. Loved seeing the Fireflies every night! Jennifer was amazing to work with, never had a property manager that was so attentive and helpful before. Would definitely book again if coming back to North Carolina and I will recommend the property.

Great Mountain Stay
