Cozy, clean house and fantastic location
This charming house is clean, comfortable, and ideally located to explore beautiful Whitby. Comfortable beds, good shower, everything we needed. (Just a warning if you are tall: beware of low doorways, inside and at the gate leading to the courtyard!)

My first impression of this property was amazing i! It is such a lovely looking property and inside does not disappoint .It is tucked away but very close to the harbour, shops and beach so very handy for less mobile people .The outstanding feature for us,as we like to be outdoors was the private courtyard area which was perfect.

Gulls Cry is a far cry from average.
Gulls Cry Cottage was absolutely delightful with an incredible location for walking Whitby. The courtyard was a beautiful place to relax and recharge. The rooms were well appointed and the house provided all the charm you expect. Colin was wonderful to deal with and very helpful. The book detailing the cottage’s transformation was so interesting.

Lovely cottage very close to the harbour in quiet location
A really lovely cottage in a very quiet location and also very close to the harbour, rail and bus stations and shops and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Can honestly say it is the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in and I would definitely return.

Fabulous Cottage in Central Whitby
Home from home cottage right in the middle of Whitby with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent communication and information from host before and during stay. Only small negative is the parking which is on street with a permit - probably easy to find a spot normally but it was the busiest week of the year when we visited due to the Regatta and Folk week which made it a little challenging. Central location great for walks along the coast and visits to York and Dalby Forest

Perfect!
A lovely cottage furnished to the highest standard. We were a group of friends coming together to celebrate birthdays and the cottage was perfect for our needs. Close to all that Whitby has to offer but our own private retreat away from the crowds. The courtyard is a real asset. We were fortunate to have great weather and we ate every meal outside. Colin was a very helpful and kind host. We would love to return and wouldn’t change a thing!
