Receptionist was extremely friendly and I was able to check in early. There are 2 places to eat on the island and the attached restaurant was amazing! Best fish cakes and mustard pickles to date. The lodge was dated but clean which is what I look for.

Loved staying here. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The room has everything you require for your stay - a microwave, a mini fridge, a kettle, a toaster. The most important was the view which is incredible. The property is on water and every room has a ocean view!

I missed that there were no televisions in the rooms. Also, there were very few outlets. The staff was very friendly. The location is great. The view from our room was wonderful and we had chairs on an outside deck we could sit in and watch the bay. Overall a good stay.

Older property but with a beautiful view. Clean and beds comfortable! Lacks a few toiletries, no A/C but with the breeze we didn’t need it. Fresh sea breeze much better than A/C. This property has a dining room and all meals were average but overall good! Reminder this is a two storey lodge with no elevator. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Brier Island Lodge. The motel room accommodations are showing their age but our room was clean and bed comfy and the view spectacular. What more can you ask? We were impressed with the restaurant most of all--the focus on local food, some from their own garden, the friendliness of wait and front of house staff, the quality of the food offered was also marvelous. We drove the island to see the 3 lighthouses and enjoyed our walk on the bog boardwalk. Brier Island was on our bucket list of travel destinations in Nova Scotia and this trip did not disappoint!

The lodge was very clean, the view is incredible. We were there early in the spring so the restaurant was not open. We had adjoining rooms with our family and shared a kitchenette which was wonderfully stocked. Brier Island is very nice to visit and a cozy place to explore. Had a wonderful time.

It was an average stay. They had laundry machines for guests. They was a restaurant on the property. I ordered a Caesar salad. It was good. Water pressure not great. Our unit did not have A/C. Thankfully it was a cool day. Only newly renovated suites had A/C. Convenient location for our whale watching trip. Breakfast should be offered earlier to accommodate morning whale watching trips. WiFi was ok.
