Welcome to the historic thatched-roof Witthüs—a unique retreat that combines Sylt’s traditional thatched-roof architecture with modern comforts. This charming property, once a popular gathering place for artists in the 1970s, was built in 1913 and lovingly converted into an apartment building in 1995. Today, it houses nineteen cosy holiday apartments. Four of these are rented out through us; ranging from 40 m² to 65 m², they accommodate 2 to 4 guests, and some even welcome four-legged friends. Each apartment has its own parking space.

The Witthüs is centrally located in Wenningstedt, allowing you to fully savour the island experience. The beach is a 10–12-minute walk away, and Feinkost Meyer, which includes a bakery, is right nearby, so you can enjoy fresh rolls in the morning.
Immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of the Witthüs and enjoy the unique charm of this thatched-roof house—a place where tradition and modernity blend harmoniously, making it the ideal retreat for dog lovers, families, and couples.

Wir können das Appartement nur empfehlen. Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was wir brauchten. Der Empfang und die Schlüsselübergabe in Westerland war sehr freundlich (Zur Begrüßung ein Gutschein für Kaffee und ein leckeres Stück Kuchen. Was will man mehr?) Der Strand ist ohne Probleme zu Fuß erreichbar und auch die anderen Dörfer der Umgebung wie Kampen oder Keitum sind mühelos mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden (Ausleih von Fahrrädern zu moderaten Preisen mehrfach im Ort vorhanden). Bedanken möchten wir uns für den überaus freundlichen Service ! Der Klassiker: Beide Wohnungsschlüssel in der Wohnung und die Tür fiel zu ….. Ein Anruf über die Notfall-Telefonnummer und wenige Minuten später war eine nette Mitarbeiterin aus Westerland mit dem Auto da und schloss uns die Tür wieder auf. Danke für den schnellen und unkomplizierten Service ! Wir kommen gerne wieder !

Tolle kleine Wohnung, sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden. In der oberen Etage (Schlafzimmer) ist allerdings ein Luftschacht, den man nicht abdunkeln kann. Morgens wird es also (in Sommer) sehr schnell hell… Würde die Wohnung trotzdem wieder buchen. Klare Empfehlung!

Eine wunderschöne, gemütliche und hochwertig ausgestattete kleine Wohnung. Die Treppe in das Dachzimmer/Schlafzimmer ist recht steil und vielleicht nicht so geeignet für ältere oder gebrechliche Menschen. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und stilvoll gestaltet und picobello sauber. Zum Strand sind es nur einige Gehminuten. In nächster Nähe befinden sich Feinkost Meyer, ein toller Supermark mit Bäcker, ein Budni, sowie eine Sparkasse. Die Schlüsselübergabe war wegen Corona eher kontaktlos, aber super freundlich und total reibungslos. Wir haben und rundum wohl gefühlt.
