Chalet Hunnenfluh is an idyllic Alpine retreat! The stylish 2nd-floor Wengen apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1-bathroom and 4 balconies has some of the best views in Wengen! Far from the hustle and bustle of the busy village center of Wengen, the walk is rewarded with a truly unique experience with undoubtedly one of the most stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, Jungfraujoch and surrounding mountains. Here you can enjoy nature and relax without disturbance.
The quiet, rural location in the Ledi area of Wengen is 1.7km from the Wengen train station. Wengen is a car free village accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen. Taxis are available in Wengen to help with luggage. The Chalet was originally built around the 1900s as a hotel and is a treasured and protected specimen of the Belle Epoque era and the early tourism in Wengen.
The semi open plan living-dining-kitchen has four distinct spaces. The living area is full of character with stunning views of the Jungfrau to the South, a Swedish wood burner and exposed beams. The dining area features exposed beams and with access to one of the two south facing balconies is a unique and charming space to enjoy family meals with a stunning mountain backdrop. An additional west-facing seating space with panoramic windows on three sides is truly mesmerizing and offers a superb vantage point to soak up the sun, nature and the mountain views. The kitchen area towards the back of the apartment has a separate balcony and is well equipped for a self-catering holiday.
The master bedroom with south facing balcony has a kingsize double bed (180x200cm) and the second bedroom at the back of the apartment has a bunk bed (2x 90x200cm), a desk and a sofa. A family bathroom with bathtub, shower cubicle, two sinks and WC serves both bedrooms. The apartment also has a laundry cupboard with washing machine and dryer.
