Saltmarsh Shepherds Hut

Everything in and around Saltmarsh Shepherds Hut oozes elegance. It features an en-suite shower room, a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, and WiFi. With uninterrupted views over the North Norfolk Coast, this is a very special place to unwind, with the option to add a wood-fired hot tub for an extra touch of luxury!

Saltmarsh Hut is set in a breathtaking location at the end of a open field, offering panoramic views over the marshes and the sea in Stiffkey, North Norfolk. This bespoke hut has been designed and built to a high standard, with an open-plan living space and en-suite shower room. It is designed for comfort, featuring a king-size bed with a duck feather duvet and Egyptian cotton linen, along with a wall-mounted television just above.

The kitchenette includes a sink, double electric hob and a mini fridge, along with all the crockery, pots, pans and utensils you may need. The underfloor heating and the electric stove adds cosiness on chillier evenings! The en-suite shower room includes a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside the hut, there is a lawned area surrounded by a wired fence, as well as a fabulous wood-fired hot tub that overlooks the marshes and the sea, a perfect relaxation spot after a long day exploring the North Norfolk Coast.

Upon arrival, kick off your shoes and open a bottle of bubbles as the rustic wood-fired hot tub heats up. There is also a table and chairs for you to enjoy dining al fresco, along with an iron firepit, that can be used as a barbecue. There is direct access to Stiffkey Salt marshes and the coastal path from Saltmarsh Hut.

Nearby there is The Red Lion, and a little village shop which is known for its barista style coffees and croissants. The village is on the coastal path meaning you are able to walk for as little or as long as you like, with lovely views all the way along.

Inside:
Open-plan living area
King-size bed with duck down duvet and cotton linen.

Fully equipped kitchenette with sink, mini fridge, double electric hob, kettle, toaster, crockery and pots, pans and utensils.

Additional Information:
The hut is located in a rural location surrounded by open fields. The owner occasionally has access to the nearby fields.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. There is a wired fence surrounding the hut, but it is advised that dogs are kept on the lead, as very small dogs may be able to pass through. Please note that dogs must be kept off the furniture.

A wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional charge of £75 per stay. Due to the remote location of the hut, the hot tub cannot be heated for arrival. It may take a few hours to warm up, and further instructions will be provided at the hut.
A starter pack of logs, kindling, charcoal and firelighters is supplied with more available to purchase from the village shop.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, unwind and leave the world behind then look no further. This charming little property has everything you need. The weather wasn’t on our side but that didn’t matter. We were perfectly happy hunkered down in the pretty little hut, whiling away the hours. The facilities are great for what it is, and we found the bed particularly comfortable which was a bonus! All in all a fabulous place.

A unique getaway

We enjoyed a fantastic 2-night stay in this unique, out of the way setting. The hut was really cosy and had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped. A perfect base from which to explore the North Norfolk coastline. Would highly recommend.

Was Lovely but needed a bit of TLC

Location was perfect. Lay out of the hut was brilliant. Was nice to have a Indoor and outside table and sun loungers. Was a bit tricky to find, pics where included in the check in guide but they are in the dark and poor quality and only give directions to those coming from the other direction. So we only found it once we had drove past and realised we where in wells next to sea prompting us to turn around, then we where coming from the direction they had catered for in their instructions. We stayed at the end of August so I'm assuming its been a busy summer and the owners haven't had time to fix the following: Toilet roll holder Toilet flusher -worked but was broken BBQ utensils Front window- would only shut if someone pushed it from the outside The main door is a stable style- was lovely but the bolt for the bottom half was broken so difficult to use. Door hinge was loose- my husband fixed this one for you. The steps to get into the hot tub- just seem to have seen better days have to be careful using them. There was an information folder that was really handy but again has seen better days. But it served its purpose. For the price of the hut i had expected these little things to be attended to. I understand an additional cost for the hottub as it needs to be re filled and logs provided but thought the price was a bit steep of £75. Overall we had a great time and these little things didn't spoil the trip but they need attending to. Communication with the owner- i text to say our arrival time but didn't hear back again no issue but there was no communication from the owner hence my 2 star review. This trip was our mini moon and i had specified this on the booking. Was happy to pay for any extra treats. There was a bottle of wine for us in the fridge but unsure if that was special for us or if they do this for every visitor, either way it was a lovely gesture. I honestly would recommend the hut to a friend but also If they asked if it was worth the money i would unfortunately say no based on our stay. So overall its lovely place to stay with great potential if its given a little TLC and maybe the hot tup price was brought down to a more realistic price for what it actually costs to run.
