THE CABIN
Step inside and exhale. Sunlight spills across hardwood floors. Artwork warms the walls. A gas log stove glows on cool evenings. The queen bedroom features a bay window overlooking lush gardens and a comfortable bed dressed in fresh linens. In summer, open the windows to mountain air or use the portable AC for extra cool comfort.
The full kitchen includes a stove, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes, cookware, spices, tea, and coffee.
A large walk in closet houses a full size Washer and Dryer
Enjoy cable TV, strong Internet, quiet mornings, and deep sleep.
OUTDOOR LIVING:
A new deck invites you to sip coffee with the birds or unwind with a cool drink at dusk. Organic gardens bloom from March through October with medicinal plants and flowers. In early spring you may hear the tiny chorus of peeper frogs from the goldfish pond. My favorite bird, the woodland thrush often offers its haunting song at dawn and dusk.
I live on the property and the Wishing Tree cabin sits behind my own home, a 135 year-old log cabin . NOTE: There is also a separate 2 bedroom cabin on the property, and you may occasionally see other guests.
Privacy is thoughtfully maintained with lush landscaping . This land feels alive and cherished, and I feel grateful to share it.
A SWEET BONUS
I am a beekeeper and am happy to offer a tour of my BeeLoved bee yard during your stay.
Perfect for a romantic getaway or a peaceful solo retreat.. Come find ease, quiet, and a little mountain enchantment just minutes from Asheville
Meet Sadie: My friendly beagle is always happy to greet guests (and their dogs!) with a wag and a nuzzle. She is in her invisible fence , so you have to step into her area to pet her.
Please Note:
It’s a quick 5 minute drive to the interstate I-26 Exit 23( North Asheville) …Access to the property is via a gravel driveway—about a 3-minute drive in. It’s accessible to all vehicles but can get a bit bumpy during rainy weather.
The road can be a little bumpy and walkway is a little uneven and the charm is unequivocal
We are in the woods, which means we occasionally get mosquitoes, mice in the winter, wild turkeys in the yard and on a rare occasion a bear. The bee-yard is out of site ,in front of my home.
If , you are super fussy then we are not for you
