I stayed here for a night for work trip. As much as i would love to give 4 stars coz the place is gorgeous, clean, felt very safe and staffs were very welcoming. The only downside is, I hardly get any goodnight sleep, my room was situated next/close to the train track And train were passing all night. Although, the hotel provided some sound machine, earplugs and lavender mist. I was still waking up a couple of times but, Aside from that it was a great stay.

Request a room away from the train corridor
The friendliness at this hotel is top-notch. The hotel feels new and very clean. Our room was on the side of the hotel overlooking the metro / train corridor. Every ten minutes or so up until about midnight, it was quite loud. The staff had earplugs and a noise machine in the rooms to help. If you book here, I suggest that you request a room that is not on the side of the rail corridor.

New favorite hotel in DC
Excellent stay. Kind, professional staff. Watch your fingers in the oddly designed bathroom door as your fingers can get smashed between door hardware and doorframe as you slide it closed. If you're a light sleeper, ask for room facing courtyard; Rooms facing train tracks come with earplugs for a reason. Restaurant food is outstanding and staff member Blue is exceptionally warm and kind and just great at what she does.
