Thursday-Shabbat at the Churchill

Had a conference on Friday and stayed through Shabbos. The hotel staff was very accommodating about Shabbos (and the Chabad shul is 2 doors down) and in general was very courteous and helpful. The room was large and immaculate. Could not have expected a better experience.

Great location, historic but felt a bit neglected; no service for my room (I don't need the room to be cleaned or towels replaced, but refreshing coffee, etc is appreciated and did not happen over my 3 night stay) Seemed a bit understaffed. Still like the neighborhood and will likely stay again if in the area but hoping they will return to their previous standard of hospitality and service in the future)

Every member of the staff was wonderful from Ertug the front desk manager who settled me himself to Kiara who served me breakfast. This is a quiet, tastefully furnished hotel that anyone could enjoy.

I called two weeks before arriving to check on parking. On previous visits, valet parking was $35. Now I was told $55. It's a lot, but I wouldn't have to look elsewhere. Two weeks later we arrived and parking is now $70!! That's ridiculous! There should have been some notice to people with reservations. Also in the bad communication area, we were given no information at check-in and there is no longer information in the room. We had to call the front desk to find out everything, from wifi passcode to ice. Sad.

Property is a converted apartment building, floor under carpet isn’t flat and I feel, hallways are narrow, not many amenities, tried to move hotels and the management refused to let me. Won’t stay here again.
