The Dubliner restaurant is attached to the hotel, and they offer a free pint of Guinness with your meal if you stay there. The hotel is small and has a boutique feel. The staff is professional and alert.

The staff was friendly helpful and I love they have great free coffee on a floor that is midway so you don''t have to go to a lobby early in the morn. they had it all day and hot chocolate too. I would stay again for sure. Walked to the metro station also very convenient.

Great location and wonderful hotel!

This was a wonderful place to stay - close to Union Station and the Capitol, and a great bargain for both the location and the hotel itself. Every employee we interacted with was polite and friendly, and the room was clean and well maintained. The 24-hour coffee and tea station on the second floor was great, and the two bottles of water left in our room each day was helpful in the July heat. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in DC!

Booked this as it was an easy walk from Union Station. It wasn't until check in I realized how noisy it was going to be. Room was fine. Floor in the room was like vinyl / engineered flooring not carpet. It was sticky. Not a great feeling. As far as the noise we literally stayed in Times Square NYC the previous three nights and there was less noise.

Nice Hotel With Old School Charm

The hotel itself and the staff are great. It's an older building but well-kept, and there's obvious pride in ownership. It's in a nice, safe and walkable area of D.C. as well. The room itself was nice and simple. The bed was comfortable and had a nice assortment of pillows. The bathroom, although a little small (by U.S. standards) worked. There were several little touches that definitely made up for the lack of room. I had requested a quiet room away from the street. They were nice enough to put me on the 8th floor... but it was right next to the maid's quarters. That made for a built-in alarm by 8a each morning. The only think I'm not a fan of is the daily $32 'facility fee'. Even if booking through a third-party site like Hotels.com, this is an extra fee collected on-site, honestly making the Hotels.com 'all-in' pricing untrue. This isn't Vegas, Miami or Maui... it's not a resort, it's a historical building in D.C. Is it nice having a couple of fully automated coffee machines 24-hours a day? Sure, if you're a coffee drinker. But I'm not. Even the most devout Starbucks fanboy would have a hard time consuming $32 worth of free espressos a day. If you need to charge more for staff and k-cups, bake it into the daily room cost. There just weren't enough real perks (beyond those most decent hotels have like a business center, gym, etc.) to warrant such a random surcharge. Also note, the daily parking fee is $64. For those not using mass transit or rideshare.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel. It's very close to Union Station, just a 5 to 10-minute walk away. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were very friendly. The room was a bit small, but it looked clean and well-maintained. However, the streets outside were quite noisy; I could hear the sirens from police cars throughout the night. Additionally, the windows didn't have blackout blinds, which made the room quite bright in the morning. I wished I could sleep a little longer, but the brightness made it difficult. This might be a plus for someone who enjoys a room filled with natural sunlight.

Fantastic Stay!

Perfect location, phenomenal service, super comfortable, and super clean. They really know what they’re doing. Everything is so thought out. A great example, they have earplugs available in the bathroom because after all the streets of DC can get loud. An umbrella for those rainy days. And not to mention a super comfy robe for the in-between.
