I had a nice stay at Hyatt Place US Capitol. The location is convenient. The subway stop is less than 5 minutes away. There is a nice grocery store within easy walking distance as well as multiple restaurants, CVS, liquor store and a cool beer garden. The hotel is not brand new, but my room was very clean. The breakfast was generous, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The valet parking was expensive, but convenient and safe. I would stay again.

I hated staying at this hotel. The front desk attendant who checked me in was extremely rude. I paid for a high floor and she put me on the sixth floor, even though the hotel has fifteen floors. The breakfast has a very limited menu. They didn’t clean my room, and the heater made a very loud noise and wasn’t working properly.

The hotel common areas could use a cleaning. Carpets dirty, walk areas appeared to have not been cleaned/mopped recently. If my room is any indication of the overall hotel, it can use an upgrade and cleaning. Sofa stained, bathroom tiles slapt together, vents dirty with lint.
