This hotel has been the best we have stayed in so far during our US trip. The lovely staff member upgraded our room complimentary upon hearing we were celebrating our honeymoon. The room was huge - more like an apartment. The dining was incredible - we loved all our meals and the lovely wait staff. Can’t recommend this place more highly - especially if you like old charm accommodation

The hotel is quaint and an historic landmark. It is conveniently located in NW Washington, DC. There is a hospital nearby so you hear sirens frequently. The staff are extremely nice and attentive, and the room was exceptionally clean. The only thing that we weren't pleased with was the restaurant. My husband's breakfast order was wrong but he didn't realize until he started eating it. We told the wait staff and they did offer to give him what he originally ordered, however, he declined as he had eaten his fill. They provided danishes as a compensation but they were not fresh. I highly recommend the hotel and also recommend finding alternate dining choices.

Perfect Location with a Classic Feel.

Classic/ Traditional. Staff were very friendly. Room was on the smaller side with older furniture, but perfectly in keeping with the overall vibe. Bathroom could use better ventilation, but the shower was excellent. Highly recommended as the location is amazing. Western Market across the street gives a wide variety of food options, and you are just block away from the White House and the Mall.

Hotel is nice overall but needs some maintenance. Sink in a bathroom did not drain, door hard to open and close it. TV did not work most of the time. Floor was probably not vacuumed after previous client and I found some clipped nails ( gross:((() Location is good Saff is good too.

The doormen and staff were very friendly and attentive. As old as this hotel building was, everything felt carefully maintained and cared for. Everything looked beautiful. We had fresh towels every day but our dirty dishes and replenishing of cups/mugs were sometimes missed. Our room was small and did not have any fridge or microwave but I think other rooms do. The most amazing coffee and breakfast was right next door at For 5 Coffee DC. Very much enjoyed our stay overall.
