The location was perfect. It's 2 short blocks to the Air and Space museum and National Mall. $5-6 cab ride to the wharf for lots of dinner options. The pool was adequate for cooling off. The food was decent for breakfast and the happy hour we partook in. The only negative was the air conditioning in the room. Im sure it was an evergy saving method but the thermostat could not be set lower than 68 and the unit itself would shut off when you left the room. As a result on a 90+ degree day with awful humidity, the temp in the room was never able to reach 68 degrees.

The property was extremely clean and close to all tourist destinations. We were able to rent scooters which or dropped off directly at the hotel and we were able to scoot her and see all the famous landmarks. This is an excellent hotel close to everything. I would definitely stay again.

There is a McDonald's and a pizza place just a few doors down from the hotel so that was nice. There is a train track nearby that you can hear it running throughout the day and night that was unexpected, but not too loud. The days were hot over 100 degrees so there were many people at the pool that had a lifeguard and towels, but insufficient umbrellas - I think 5 total for the entire rooftop seating and lounges. Also there was no drink service available by the pool so you had to bring your own.

We arrived at 10:00 and were able to park in the garage to explore the city before 3:00 check-in. The employee that validates our parking said there are usually plenty of room available early. We got back to the hotel at 1:00 and attempted an early check-in. We were told it wouldn’t be too much longer. The lobby quickly filled up with families also waiting to check-in. We checked on the room availability again every 30 minutes. A room wasn’t available until 3:20. At no time was any information given to any of the families about the delay in having rooms ready. Once we finally got to our room 2 different employees came to our room within the first 30 minutes asking if we were ready to check-out.

Convenient location when visiting Smithsonian museums and National Mall. It was a 3 minute walk from the metro. The pool on the roof was great, especially on a summer day, though it would be nicer if it were open later. Room was clean and comfortable. We rarely heard any noise.

The beds were very hard and seemed old as one had a saddleback in it from wear. The other seemed to have a ridge or rod in it that made the mattress uncomfortable. The AC was super noisy, so we had to get ear plugs to get a proper sleep. The multi plug for electronics did not work. When we used our own block plugs we had to rig them a bit to make them work. The people were friendly. The rooms look dated but sufficient. The cleaning crew was very friendly and did their job very well by keeping essentials like soap and towels filled. The staff was nice
