Staff was very courteous and accomodating to me and my family. However, after hours, hard to find front desk staff if you need something. Hotel is basic and comfortable. Don't expect much. Breakfast shouldn't be called that....it's coffee, tea, oatmeal, and very small muffins that are available. Better than nothing, but don't call it free breakfast. Rooms have kitchenettes (refrigerator, microwave, and two hotplates, and two bar height chairs, and our room had two beds, but no where else to sit comfortably. If you need any pots, pans, utensils, hair dryer, etc, you need to ask for them at the front desk. I had nothing to even drank water out of in the room. Bathrooms in need of update, and water pressure poor. Hotel is pet friendly which is a plus. For the most part the hotel is quiet and safe. You're about a mile away from grocery, restaurants, movies, and general civilization.

A key criterion for choosing my hotel in D.C. was that it provide breakfast. Extended Stay claimed to do so. What was provided does not meet a reasonable standard for "breakfast." There was coffee, hot water, five very little and unappealing muffins, and some packets of plain raw oatmeal. One could add hot water to the oatmeal, as I did, and use a plastic spoon that I had brought along in my bags, to dine on hot wet oatmeal flakes, better than nothing, but it was not really breakfast. There was no milk, no fruit, no eggs, no bread, no waffles, no juice, nor cereal (except for the oatmeal packets). It's deceptive for them to say they serve breakfast. The room was old. There was a kitchen area with a stove, but pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, or plates, o it was just wasted space. There was a refrigerator, but a very noisy one that I had to turn off to sleep.

Between the metro train going by every 15 minutes or the freight trains that went by three times during the night, there was very little chance to sleep. On top of that there was a party going on in the back parking lot out of a camper van that was playing vulgar music at a high decibel level. Ironically, it did not drown out the person in the hallway, talking on the phone until 2 o’clock in the morning given these things that occurred, and management, inability, or lack of drive to correct these things I would not recommend ever staying at this place. The management and operations of this establishment should make you question everything about this place. They don’t know how to control their guests, their property, or even the check-in process, which was interrupted by several other people trying to get rooms that did not exist. I stayed here because it was convenient for me to sleep that night during a bicycling event, and I did not want to spend a lot of money during the Marine Corps marathon weekend. I now regret that decision not to spend a little bit more money, and I will never do that kind of decision again based upon this horrible experience of a subpar hotel, and impotent staff, and a terrible location for someone who is looking for a good nights sleep. Your site should wipe this hotel office list and not recommended to your customers.
