Our stay was good but nothing remarkable. We booked this hotel because of it's location and the reputation that Embassy Suites has. We have always had a good experience with staying at an Embassy Suites. We arrived late in the evening and checked in which was easy to do. Front desk staff was less than stellar. Unfortunately, they put a $500 hold on our credit card for incidentals ($125/night). This seemed steep to us but it is probably because we booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel. We did not get the room type we had booked. We booked a premium corner suite and were given a regular suite that was not on a corner. We contacted the front desk about this and were told that the paticular room type was booked but we could move to that room type the next day or we could be compensated with Hilton Honor points. I am not sure why they failed to mention this to us when we checked in but I think that is a pretty terrible oversight. We went to breakfast a few times and the entire area is chaotic. We did enjoy the made to order omelet station but the other food was just ok. One morning we were at breakfast at least 30 minutes before it ended and they had run out of several items they were not re-stocking. By the end of our stay we just decided to skip the breakfast all together. The hotel is updated and the room was comfortable. The hotel is very convenient to all the major attractions. It is about a 10 minute walk to Metro Center metro station.

Everything was fine, except we needed blankets. Texted the front desk, said OK but no blankets, stopped by front desk, still no blankets. Found a gentleman on the floor who accommodated us with 2 blankets.
