Mmmm. Some okay, some not so!
Okay, this is not going to be easy. But I think for the benefit of other potential visitors, being honest is the best bet.
Firstly, the manager/janitor in the property is a really really good guy and I thank him for his efforts. Well done.
However, there are issues with this place, not least getting access. Having heard nothing via Hotels.com (as was promised) I contacted the property only to be told that instructions had been sent but ‘sometimes sites don’t allow the emails to go thru’. So get it sorted!!!
Finally after actually emailing the company thru their website I managed to get details of access. And talk about complicated! Access codes for doors and lifts and then a separate code for the apartment which we were told would be sent separately….and which never came. It was only luck that the manager arrived at the flat the same time as us that we got the (7 number) code. What a faff and really odd-putting and unsettling when you are travelling already.
As for the flat, it’s modern and with some nice furnishings. But the mattress is thin and the pillows are simply the cheapest and worst I have ever encountered.
I’ll only briefly comment on the faff with the washing machine which needed brute force to open, and the horrific smell in one of the cupboards (apparently the filer on the vacuum cleaner) as well as the loo roll jammed in the bathroom fan to keep it open.
Overall, suffice to say that whilst okay in some aspects, the name VIP doesn’t apply
