A splendid late-October stay in Apple Tree Cottage, Walsingham
Delightful Apple Tree Cottage is situated just a short walk from the centre of the beautiful village of Little Walsingham. The front of the cottage, opening onto a lovely walled garden, and the rear giving wonderful views across a small garden to the fields and woods beyond, give a more remote, secluded impression. There are several shops in the village, including an excellent farm shop with a really good selection foods. It would have be quite possible to simply self-cater for the duration of our stay, but the local pub-restaurant provided an great alternative on a couple of evenings. The property itself was well-appointed with good sized bedrooms and a large kitchen diner - all tastefully decorated. Excellent showers were provided by both the en-suite and general bathrooms. We were greeted on our arrival by a splendid welcome hamper providing not only for our immediate needs (milk, bread etc.) but also, among other treats, a bottle of wine. On the lead up to our stay, cottage owner Julie provided friendly and helpful advive concerning our arrival etc, We would mast certainly consider staying there again.

A delightful and comfortable cottage
We really enjoyed our stay in this well equipped cottage. The beds were comfortable, the water hot ( our only criticism was that it was a bit too hot), a lovely welcoming hamper, comfortable beds and beautiful private sheltered gardens full of roses and a contented, nesting collared pidgeon. Little Walsingham is a pretty village with an excellent farm shop.
