My family of six recently had the opportunity to stay and this fine villa in Vouvray. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic stay and I would not hesitate to book this again. Some positives included:- Very large villa with plenty of beds and space -- We were a smaller group than this property can accommodate and had several unused beds- Great kitchen with just about all cookware and dinnerware you could possibly need, plus a modest supply of staples (spices, salt, etc)- Air Conditioning! Each room had a small air conditioner that was customizable by remote control- Blackout drapes operated by remote switch. We did not really realize this until Day 2 but every window has remotely operated (wall switch) blackout drapes that can be raised or lowered. With July's long days this was fantastic for sleeping in or going to sleep early- Pool, Hot Tub and outside patio area were incredibly enjoyable and we utilized them extensively-location of this villa w/in Vouvray was great -- up on the hillside very close to acres of grape vines. It was nice to go exploring. Just down the hill was a sign for a small winery but we did not have the time to call the number for an appointment. - The location of Vouvray itself is a big bonus as it was easy access to Tours, Chambord, Amboise. Had an opportunity to meet the owner of the property on Day 2 (he was checking the pool for impacts from a recent storm) and he was incredibly nice and conscientious. We had a great conversation!
