Dutch tradition and modern living come together in our Volendam Old Bridge Residence. Your stylishly decorated private room with private ensuite bathroom is located in a guesthouse with six private rooms in total. All our rooms are modern and light and have a comfortable large double bed and a luxury ensuite bathroom. Each room has coffee and tea facilities.

The guesthouse is located right next to the famous Volendam harbour. Just walk out of the front door and you will be in the middle of everything this traditional Dutch town has to offer. Supermarkets and other shops are just a few minutes walk away.

➤ Please note that this apartment is located above a bar in a lively street. Where it is possible to sit inside and outside. This can be a bit noisy at times.

## Neighborhood

Volendam is famous for the traditional Dutch folklore that is still very visible here. Although majority of it is now catered towards tourism, you should not be surprised to see locals pass by in traditional dress and fishing is still a big part of the income for this community.
You will be able to enjoy this folklore while visiting the harbour, the museums and churches.

From Volendam it is only a short way to Amsterdam and Alkmaar if you want to enjoy some city life and to other smaller Dutch towns that are located on the Markemeer and Ijsselmeer lakes such as Marken, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Or how about a day trip to one of the Dutch islands? It is the perfect location to experience many of the aspects that Dutch culture has to offer.

## Transit

From Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct bus to Volendam that take about 30 minutes and goes regularly from early morning to late evening.

Gute Lage, der Fahrradverleih 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Kleine beschauliche, sehenswerte Ortschaften, die mit dem Rad gut zu erreichen sind. Die Busverbindungen z.B. nach Amsterdam sind opitmal. Wer es abends ruhig haben möchte sollte außerhalb des Hafen Viertels buchen. Ab Mitternacht ist es ruhig.

Super cool, dass man alles per Code. Ziemlich schnell öffnen kann, somit kann man keinen Schlüssel verlieren. Außerdem ist das Zimmer traumhaft gestaltet und das Bad ist sehr schön. Alles in allem super Preis für ein super Ambiente

Sehr schöner Ort

Alles top außer das man bis 1:30 Uhr nachts nicht schlafen konnte, weil der Bass von der unteren Kneipe so laut war als wenn es im Zimmer spielte. Sonst sehr schöne Wohnung super sauber und direkt am Wasser, ein Traum!

We stayed 2 nights in room 2 of The Old Bridge Resifence. It was a lovely room right near the waterfront and about 10 minutes walk from the Amsterdam bus. Some steep steps to get up but hey it is The Netherlands or more it is Europe. Plenty of eating options within a very short walk. Booking and communications were great.
