This hotel is very unique - in an old cardinal's residence located in Villeneuve just west across the river from Avignon. Despite being in a substantial old stone building full of character, the rooms were very comfortable, clean, etc. The hotel also has a beautiful garden area with terrace overlooking the river. Parking is on the street next to the hotel, but very safe. The staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful, provided dining recommendations and introduced us to Villeneuve, which is the wonderful neighborhood where the hotel is located. We were very happy to stay outside the busy town of Avignon. We also visited Pont du Gard after checkout, so the hotel's location just west of Avignon made driving there much easier. We would return to the hotel for any future stays in Avignon.

Beautiful property!

We loved our stay at Maison Orsini! Our host was so kind and helpful. The view from the room is stunning and breakfast was fresh, local, and delicious. We were able to walk to downtown Avignon with a baby stroller.

Maison Orsini is a beautiful selection of historic buildings that open onto a courtyard and garden. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and the views from the Maison over Avignon and beyond are spectacular. About 20 minutes will walk you over to Avignon or there is a bus at the bottom of the road. Villeneuve Les Avignon is a lovely town with great places to eat and a castle overlooking the countryside. Our host, Folco, could not have been more helpful and supplied a wonderful breakfast every morning which was composed of local produce including cheeses, ham, bread, fruit and other food. Folco is also a great help in recommending restaurants and activities. He was a superb host. I could go on, but it would be fair to say that Maison Orsini was one of the best places we have ever stayed, we were looked after so well and we absolutely would go back again. The views alone from the terrace as you eat your breakfast are justification enough to book.

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't the place. If you want to experience French hospitality in an authentic setting, i recommend WITHOUT RESERVATION. The owner was so nice snd accommodating and made great recommendations for restaurants that served only what was in season. In addition, they had their own "pop up" restaurant onsite. We had one of the best meals imaginable with a 4 course pre-fixed menu. Also central for visits to Nimes, Arles, Pont du Garde and other locals.

We had an unbelievable experience staying here. The property is gorgeous from the beautiful room, views of the city, quiet neighborhood and the pool in what felt like a “Secret Garden”. This is a gorgeous location with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings. They endured my (not so great) French, so I could practice, with unbelievable grace and charm. Folco was a hero. The breakfasts were a wonderful addition.

Amazing stay! The best location. The grounds were unbelievable and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved the garden pool, the view at night, and breakfast wash day. Falco was always there to help.

We found a gem!! Folco is the perfect host. Breakfast was wonderful, our room was amazing. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It is like staying in a castle with the vaulted ceilings and ornate antique furniture but with all the modern amenities, including a pool. The view from the patio is breathtaking. Make sure you explore Villeneuve. The castle and Abbey are better than anything we saw in Avignon! Easy access to Avignon by bus. Amazing restaurants in Villeneuve but seasonal dining will be available on-site as of June 21st. If I could give Folco's beautiful home a 10 I would. Your search is done! Book it, you won't be disappointed.

This was by far our favorite stay on our trip to France. We traveled with two adults and two young adult children. We stayed in the family suite which was perfect for us. The ambiance of the house was wonderful! Folco was an exceptional host. I would highly recommend staying here if you are anywhere close by. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We booked last minute at Maison Orsini and it was wonderful! The view from our room was spectacular and the room was nice and very spacious. It was well-equipped with a small refrigerator, tea and coffee, and very nice bathroom (ours had a huge bathtub). There is a lovely swimming pool across the lane. Folco was a very considerate and helpful host, and the breakfast was excellent. Villeneuve-lès-Avignon is a charming little village and we enjoyed walking down to the square for dinner. Don’t miss the fort and Abbey Gardens in town.

It’s a unique place with an operator that cares. The structure was built in the 1300’s and a delightful view. A very French vibe and intentionally chill. Want to stare and the view and sip your wine from a nearby store? This place is for you. One note. If you drive your own car. Make sure it’s a small one 😊
