Over many years I've stayed here lots of times and it's still my favourite option for a hotel in Vienna. The location, down a short street from the main train station, underground and bus connections is truly fantastic. And the place itself is perfect for what I need: safe, quiet, clean and offering a small kitchen area so that I don't have to eat in restaurants for every meal - both cheaper and more relaxing.

Overall the condition is very good and new but the shower wall has stains which can bee seen clearly accumulated for some time because of fungus. It won't be exist if it is cleaned every time. However, I really like the location and the in-room setting with free coffee offering. By the way, I forgot my yogurt in the fridge, hope someone or the staff can enjoy the lactose free yogurt:-)

A really great deal for a private room in Vienna. Well maintained and the check in / check out process was super easy. Could have been a bit cleaner, with more attention to detail. Lack of amenities but that is OK considering the price. Conveniently located next to the main train station and only a short subway ride away from the center.

An AC in the summers is a must. I really can’t understand how a fully renovated apartment that looks as good as this wouldn’t have an AC. It was like sleeping in hell with no ventilation and a small portable fan that had no use.

Revisiting Vienna

Close to main station and other public transport, it ticks all what we required from our stay in Vienna, this was our 4th stay here and suits our needs, an equipped galley kitchen, comfy bed and a good shower, everything is clean and tidy and some basic cleaning supplys are there to aid you, if you like a bit of independence from something other than a bland hotel room this might suit you.

Good location with easy access to the train station. Easy check in. Since there is no staff to here was someone sleeping on the lobby furniture, and the amenities like fridge, coffee maker etc in the lobby were broken. The room was okay, mattress terrible and no bathroom amenities. No AC, just two old fans that kept turning off. So to get some airflow one gets to open the window and enjoy the soothing noises of the nighttime activities around the train station. Expect little and you won’t be disappointed.

The sole negative aspect was checking in. No staff member is present at Reception on the weekends. I found someone to help me. Was in my room by 11 a.m. Expedient. No one should have to wait until 3 p.m. Mercedes at Reception, during the week,was very pleasant & helpful. Very disappointing that there is no Air Conditioning. But, survived the ghastly humidity using the upright oscillating fan. Loved the kitchenette. Everything at one's fingertips.You could make a full course neal,if desired. Proximity to Main Bahnhof was a PLUS! A 2 minute walk to access subway lines & all trains & trams. We went to Budapest & Prague. Easy to purchase all tickets at Bahnhof...for all travel. Spar, as well as Billa are a stone's throw from the hotel. ALL one's food needs are readily available. I recommend Smartments. Would definitely stay again. Easy 10 minute walk to the Vienna Military Museum...NOT to be missed. Other main attractions are a short walk away. Also, take subway,then tram to Grinzing. Charming, suthentic "Heurigen" establishments to dine at. Then take bus up higher,hike in forest, & be treated to spectacular views of Vienna,from up on high. EXPLORE & BE CURIOUS, PEOPLE!!

We stayed 4 nights in July 2025. It's a great place to stay as it is so close to the train station which makes it easy to go anywhere. We were lucky with the weather: it rained every day and it wasn't too hot. Even so, the biggest -and perhaps the only-problem we had was that the apartment itself was VERY hot and there os no A/C. The window does open but somehow no fresh air gets in. Our apartment faced the street, and proximity to the train station makes for a noisy environment. The windows soundproof excellently, but make the room extra hot. We were very uncomfortable sleeping. Everything else is good! A small fridge, fully stocked kitchen, a cooking range, and a dishwasher ( with dish soap and dishwasher tabs) made it possible to eat breakfast at the hotel instead of spending time/money eating out. There is a grocery store ( Spar) very close by. We were impressed with bed linens: nice quality cotton. Towels were older but still quite all right. The property is clean. Plase be aware that this place has very limited front desk/reception hours. We had a stressful check-in as it was later in the evening when there was nobody at the front desk. E-mail Check-in instructions confused us because the key symbol on the dial pad is difficult to recognize as such. To us it looked like a weird letter C next to some lines. We were lucky that customers with the entry card opened the door for us. There was a poster with some crossed out instructions for intercom -in German only...

Good location near the train. Room was nice sized, but the bed was hard as a rock and the room was hot. Had the windows open as no air conditioning, and the noise from the road below kept us awake. The shower had mold in the corner. The coffee, water, and vending machines in the lobby all had signs saying they were out of order.
