Clean and very nice hotel in a quiet area. Very helpfull and friendly staff. It makes it personal when they know your name after the second visit at the receptiondesk! Lovely breakfast with a lot of choice. A pity it closes already at 9... Easy to go to Vienna centre by public transport (takes about 25 min.).

I was a Hilton Honours club member until this trip. I made a genuine mistake and booked into Hilton Garden Inn south instead of Hilton Garden Inn Neuerstadt. I just wanted Hilton to swap the booking between hotels. They said no and charged for both hotels as my meeting was at the other hotel. Hilton have fixed policy despite being the Sam chain in same town and having availability No way will I or anyone I can influence will stay in a Hilton hotel again.

The problem was at checkin. The bill was supposed to be paid via expedia. However we were not charged on booking, rather we were informed of the different price at arrival, about 25% higher. When pointing out that the bill is supposed to be 200 USD rather than 236 Euro, the attendant was rudely pointing out we are in Europe, and Euro is official currency, not wishing to discuss issue or look at Expedia data. Well outrageous exchange rate do exist, not a problem. The problem was in his attitude and tone. At checkout we did not get an invoice, claiming we have Expedia invoice.

Typical Hilton Garden Hotel

Typical Hilton Garden hotel with spacious modern rooms. The breakfast offering was really nice. The surrounding area has nothing to offer and it is far to downtown unless you want to drive a car. The parking garage at 20 Euros is steep considering the location. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit outdated and could use some work soon.

Air Conditioning is not present. Temperature control unit is fake as there is no cool air coming from the vent. It is simply a fan. Thanks for the window that swang open and breezy night made things bearable. Otherwise what could have been an excellent stay..was ruined by lack of AC.
