Great location close to everyting we wanted to see in Vienna. Staff were excellent storing are bags before check in and after check out to allow us to explore. They were also spot on with dining recomendations.The upgrade to penthouse suite provided us with a very spacious room.

Friendly staff. The manager has gone above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The AC was broken and he provided us portable AC's until it was fixed the following day. The front desk and the kitchen/dining staff were very nice and made way to accommodate our breakfast requests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elaya in Vienna city center. Waking up and walking right around the corner to St. Stephen's cathedral was a prime location. The price was competitive and fair. Very modern and beautiful accommodation. We were concerned before our stay with some of the reviews commenting on the AC not being reliable or working, when we got to our room it did seem stuffy but the front desk staff came up right away to make sure it was functioning correctly, cleaned the filter, and gave us a fan (which we never ended up needing). So we were very comfortable during our stay. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vienna!

The location was the single best part of the hotel, it was very walkable and central to all of the Vienna main sites/square. However, the cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel needs serious improvement. Our room had noticeable dust bunnies on the floor around the bed/side tables, there were weird stains in the bathroom on the sink and vanity, just general the trim was dusty around the room and ceiling in the bathroom had a noticeable crack/hole that needed repatched and painted. The general hotel needs a bit of a face lift in terms of maintenance. Also another big issue was the AC, it wouldn’t go past 21 degrees Celsius and it kept adjusting back to 25 degrees like the front desk/hotel had some kind of automatic override. They insisted they didn’t but the AC was problematic/poor the whole visit.

Hotel was very central, but just off the tourist paths, so it was quiet, safe, air-conditioned and ideal for our needs. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were small but clean and had all the mod-cons necessary for a lovely stay. I'd book there again.

Their AC did not work and they did NOT offer any solution. Not even another room. We just got an attitude from their manager for asking for a solution for a room that was 29 degrees Celsius.

The air worked on EVERY floor but 9th. We did receive notification about an hour before check in that the air was out. They offered us "a personal airconditioner" and also gave us free breakfast. The "personal air conditioner" was a FAN. A FAN that hardly blew any air. When we asked to be moved elsewhere, we were told as soon as someone checked out we would be moved. Well, we saw multiple people checkout buuut each time they told us, the air will be back on soon or you have a king size bed and these are queen, soo no moving rooms. No ice machine so you have to requesr it. It was available on the 1st and 2nd day after that none was available. The showers leaked all over the bath room floor and it was dirty with mold. There was only 1 pillow per person, and it left MUCH to be desired. The linens were subpar, very scratchy and thin. Overall, the hotel was in a good location but the equated to VERY EXPENSIVE camping and not worth the money spent here. I expected much better out of a top Vienna location.
