High winds at sea delayed our ferry, so our overall trip to Vestmann Island was cut short, but we made the most of our time. Lava Guesthouse was very centrally located and wonderfully clean and comfortable. The bathroom, in particular, was quite nice, and the kitchen facilities were an added plus. I wish we could have stayed much longer!

it is right in the center of this beautiful small town on the island of Westman. The room was spacious since we booked a family room. It was on the first floor but was very quiet at night. The kitchen was really nice with everything you need. You could walk everywhere from this place. We took the host's recommendation: We went to the town pool that has 3 hot tubs and an indoor swimming pool as well as a steam room. We also went to the next door Gott for dinner. A great place to stay if you want to visit this wonderful island.

We stayed in room 6 upstairs. It's exceptionally easy to hit your head in this room due to the way the beds are positioned. Otherwise it is was a good stay at a lovely old guesthouse. The kitchen is well equipped.

Our stay at the lava guest house was a perfect stay for a quick overnight on the island. It was centrally located in the main village and close to the ferry. The host was quick to respond to our questions and gave links on what to see on the island. Our room was clean and worked well for our family of 4. Despite our late night arrival, access to get in was easy and without issue. Our room right off of the kitchen which was nice as we got to meet other travelers who were staying there. The communal kitchen was stashed with coffee, not chocolate, tea and more. It was our first day in this type of lodging and happy to say it was a positive experience. We would definitely recommend the lava guest house for your future stay
