Set just above the iconic Belforte restaurant, in the very heart of Vernazza, Maemuna Sea View is a unique and atmospheric retreat inspired by traditional fishermen’s homes. Compact and seemingly suspended above the water, it offers the rare sensation of staying aboard a boat, with the Ligurian Sea unfolding endlessly before your eyes.



The apartment



Bright and welcoming, the living area features a double sofa bed, dining table and uninterrupted sea views that fill the space with light throughout the day.

The sea-view bedroom offers an intimate setting where the gentle sound of the waves becomes your nightly lullaby.



The kitchen corner is compact yet well equipped for light meals and relaxed breakfasts, with induction hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and Nespresso machine.

The bathroom is very compact, inspired by a boat cabin, with shower and functional layout.



Comfort & atmosphere



Natural sea breezes keep the apartment pleasantly cool in summer; fans are provided, and heating is available during permitted months. Please note that air conditioning is not present, in keeping with the original structure.



From the living area, the sea becomes part of your stay: glowing sunsets in summer and dramatic winter waves create an ever-changing natural spectacle.



Location & access



Located above Ventegà Square, the apartment requires climbing steps. Porter service is available on request to assist with luggage.

The legend of Maemuna



According to local folklore, Maemuna was a young woman who hid from Saracen pirates in a sea cave below Vernazza, enchanting sailors with her songs. On stormy nights, locals say her voice can still be heard among the rocks — a view you can glimpse directly from the apartment windows.



Pets



Small dogs are welcome upon request, with a supplement and in accordance with house rules (lead required, no access to beds or settees, respect for other guests).



Cinque Terre Riviera services



Guests enjoy a complimentary welcome breakfast for the first day, high-quality essential supplies (including local extra virgin olive oil and eco-friendly Nespresso pods), professional cleaning, sustainable practices and a concierge office in Vernazza open daily from 9:30 to 18:30 (mid-March to early November).
